Halo Fan For Life

Hi guys, so I was debating on whether I wanted to post this or not, and I’m still not sure, but I think I have to for my own sake of mind.

For years now one of my main inspirations, Sal has been running a site called Halofanforlife, giving halo fans some of the best coverage of Halo news I have seen anywhere. Sal has been unemployed for 3 years now, despite sending out hundreds of resumes. Earlier this month Sal ran a fundraiser so he could renew the Halofanforlife website, and fund the annual Halo LAN party he plans to have, Sal is also donating half the money he has received to charity. Unfortunately the fundraiser fell a few hundred dollars short of what he needs, meaning Sal has to now redirect money he has been saving for 5 months to buy an Xbox:One and Halo: the master chief collection, meaning he can’t play and record it for his website, this has unfortunately resulted in Sal having a bout of depression. This to me seems vastly unfair, Sal is one of the worlds biggest Halo fans, and is a massive part of the Halo community, taking this next step in the great journey without him seems wrong, obviously I’m only one man, and alone I can’t do much to help him, but with your help we could really help Sal out and change his luck for once. I’m not asking much, just a tweet of support maybe or to follow his website, or just share this on other websites. Just to show we care and love his site and everything he gives to the Halo community. Halo Master Chief collection SDCC panel

Hey guys 343 finally released their panel from SDCC, I can’t leave an embedded video here, as I’m writing from my phone, but I can leave a link, the panel is mostly a rehash of old info, but they do reveal some stuff, like Zanzibar’s return and a look into the remastered cinematics.

Master Chief collection news!

Lots of awesome news guys, first a Cinematic trailer!

No we have confirmation of the third map to be remastered with new features the remastered map is Zanzibar! Awesome, remember this remastered map will have new features, but the old halo 2 map is also on the disk!

Halo Nightfall trailer and information!

Hi guys so we have a Nightfall trailer here:

 

It looks very Ridley Scott which is fantastic, we also have a little information.

It is set on a colony world, where part of the original installation 04 has crashed. There will be no pelican in the series, instead a mid ranged transport vehicle called the Condor will be featured.

That’s all for Nightfall, until I see the panel online anyway, tomorrow we will have a new trailer for Halo: The master chief collection and more information. So that is great, so make sure you stick around!

I have also seen a report stating that Locke will be playable in Halo 5, but since I don’t know for certain, I won’t comment (fingers crossed).

Halo panels today and tomorrow, lots of halo news coming up!

So it’s currently SDCC, and today there is a Halo Nightfall panel, and tomorrow there is a Master Chief collection panel, the problem is neither are been streamed, instead they will be put up onto 343’s youtube channel over the weekend. This means I’ll have to look very carefully for Halo news. It also means we may not get the trailers been shown at the panels for a while.

Any news I find I will of course post here, so stay tuned today and tomorrow for some major news!

Halo Escalation 8, Best comic yet!

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD HALO ESCALATION 8 WAS AWESOME!!!!

ok, after 10 minutes and a chill pill I’m ready to write the article. So for those who don’t know the next 3 escalation comics ollow directly on from Halo 4.

Escalation 8 starts the day after the events of Halo 4, with Master Chief been de-briefed by Naval brass. After telling them that he did not confirm the kill on the Didact, they decide to cover up the new phoenix and blame it on the covenant.

After the de-briefing Chief and Lord Hood talk about Gamma Halo, the Halo ring in Halo 4. A group of scientists went missing, along with Spartan team Black (One of my favourite Spartan II teams from the expanded universe) So Chief decides to accompany a Spartan team who are sent to investigate, and who is this Spartan team? ITS MOTHER F’IN BLUE TEAM! YEAHHHH!

After a reunion Chief, Fred, Kelly and Linda head down to Gamma Halo, where they discover the corpses of Black team (damn you 343, you bring back some of the best characters only to kill them, damn you to hell :3) Blue team is then suddenly attacked by Prometheans. They track down the activity to the location where the Composer used to be kept, where they find an under ground tunnel system, and eventually follow it to the composers abyss. Which is horrifying may I add.

 

We then are taken to an unknown Forerunner world, where a monitor, possibly 343 guilty Spark (he was found alive at the end of the Forerunner books)  or maybe just another monitor, is seen speak to the Didact, who is alive and well, and waiting to ambush the Chief.

More halo nightfall screen shots

More halo nightfall screens have been released, and not leaked this time! Here they are

 

These are obviously far more interesting than the previous shot, we now see that Locke is already a member of ONI, we also see a DMR, and a badass outfit! We also got a new description of  Nightfall!

Locke and his team is sent to an outer colony world to investigate insurrection it’s activity, but soon discovers a hellish alien artefact

this is not the actual quote, but my phone won’t let me paste it into the article for some reason, but that is basically  it.

First screen from Halo:Nightfall shown

Hi guys, the first screen from Halo Nightfall was just leaked by variety.com here it is:

 

Here is Mike Colter playing Agent Locke looking like a badass! I’m happy we finally got a good quality leak, and not something shot with a potato, I’m also happy that it doesn’t reveal anything really, I like little leaks as we get like a nice surprise, but large leaks are just shitty for the people working on it. However this is cool, it’s probably taken from the trailer 343 will be showing at comic con this week.

Halo: Escalation cover 11 revealed

So the cover and description of Halo Escalation 11 have been released, 

cool huh? So this looks like Throne jumping at a Jackal the description reads:

”Exposure” part 1-Spartans Ray and Thorne set out on a secret mission to uncover the origin of a monstrous new bioweapon . . . but is it too late to prevent total catastrophe? Halo lead writers team up to present one of the most dangerous Spartan ops yet!”

So this confirms that the Master Chief ark will only run three issues, from 8-10. I’m a little sad about that, but this story seems cool, (I have a feeling it could be an ONI weapon as we saw them developing bio weapons to combat the Elites in the Thursday war novel) Could this be ONI’s start to evil as many suspect? we will have to see. Although its probably the New Colonial Alliance, they are getting pretty popular recently.
